Affordable SEO needs to be in Everybody’s Budget.
Posted by seo_writer_cls as Organic SEO Marketing
In this internet/technologically driven world that we live in today, there are millions of businesses being located by one of the most commonly used internet tools known as Search Engines. Before the internet, word of mouth and advertising was the best means of learning about a business. Now, the market and our culture have grown larger and more advanced. Because businesses are so large in number, the fastest, most precise and easiest way to find a business is by utilizing such search engines as Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. You can have the greatest website and businesses with the best services and products. But without affordable SEO or any Website SEO at all, you may see more of a loss than a profit with your business. This would be the equivalent of searching for a needle in a hay stack. Without affordable SEO, the odds are against you.
Everyday, there are millions of key words being entered into search engines by internet surfers to find the services and or products that best suit their needs. The entities responsible for the sale and use of these services and products are businesses. Besides word of mouth and advertising on television and radio, the internet is the most widely used marketing tool. Because it is convenient to most, before going by word of mouth or just driving around out of curiosity, most individuals use the internet as their first tool of choice. In today’s world, the internet is one of the best resources to utilize.
Without affordable SEO, a business has a lower chance of attaining a profit gain. You can have one of the greatest businesses with all of the bells and whistles, flashy high tech website; 16 story building; 300 employees; cool looking logo and a catch phrase to match. But without affordable SEO, who’s going to go through the trouble of trying to find you. Not many. You may get a few don’t get me wrong, but it most likely won’t be enough to make a profit. Let me give you an analogy. A search engine is to a business as is a GPS is to a location. If there isn’t a place on the map, then what’s the use of trying to find it? In conclusion, whether you have a small or large business, affordable SEO needs to be in everyone’s budget.

What’s So Special About First Page Placement?
Posted by seo_writer_cls as Organic SEO Marketing
Today’s world is the age of information. There are millions upon millions of tons worth of data at everyone’s fingertips. What better way to access this information with the aid of Search Engines. For businesses, both big and small, first page placement is an essential component to finding one’s services and products. If you want internet surfers to get to your site to utilize your products and services, your chances are better with great page placement. Well over 90% of web traffic comes from search engines.
First page placement gives your business a better chance of being accessed by internet surfers who utilize such search engines as Bing, Google, msn, etc. If your website shows on page 7 or 10, in almost all instances, no one will ever find your business. It’s not so much that they are not able to find you, but they just won’t want to go through the trouble of having to search even further through hundreds and thousands and even sometimes millions of pages through the search engines. The majority of target audiences love to have information at their finger tips. If information is beyond there reach, then it’s not worth searching for (well at least they think so).
First page placement is important so that people can find your website better. Let’s say for instance you pay a web designer $5,000 to build you a high profile website. What good is it if no one can find your business’s website? Then all of that hard work and money would’ve been spent in vain. Whether you are paying a little or a lot for your website, it’s always best to invest more in SEO to get better page ranking so that internet users can find your business without too much hassle.
All in all, with the current exchange of tons of data from Search Engines to internet surfers, first page placement is important during this age of internet marketing. Millions of people depend on big search engines, such Google, to find websites with products and services that suite their needs. The better your placement, the better chances you have for internet surfers to use your products and services. It is better to invest in page ranking rather than the cosmetics of a website. A basic looking website with great page placement versus a high profile flashy website with horrible page placement will always come out on top, pun intended.

Local Internet Marketing: Find Your Grass Roots
Posted by seo_writer_chrs as Organic SEO Marketing
Local internet marketing has its start in common sense. In this day and age, searching for what you want on a large scale tends to just lead you into labyrinthine big box retailers and mega malls that seem like they have no clue. And who knows how they treat their employees… or where they actually get the products they sell? A lot of times, consumers want to shop for items locally – sometimes even items produced locally. And if you own a business that “keeps it real” by conducting ethical, local operations, local internet marketing may appeal to a niche you never even thought of.
Think about it; if a person wants eggs, don’t you think they would rather deal with the farmer a few miles away who walks into his chicken coop at 8 and gets the eggs when they’re still warm… when the alternative is to go to the Massive Mega Store, who got their eggs “who knows when” from “who knows where?” It often confers a massive advantage to be locally based – so why not market your goods and or services from that particular frame?
And if you operate in an area where there is a reasonable population base, there are just bound to be local internet marketing venues to which you can submit your site. Craig’s List is a great national example – nearly every city in the US with a population greater than 50,000 has their own section, in which you can post about specific events, solicit volunteers, hire employees, ply your trade… even find a date, if you want to take a break.
And obviously, if there are other businesses based in your area, if the niche they serve is even reasonably close to yours you may have a link exchange situation in the making. For instance, if you produce environmentally friendly tires made out of recycled plastic bottles, and then subsequently re-recycle those tires into brand new ones, the local car dealership’s web site might find some use in your product line – and you might find a BUNCH of customers amongst people who are interested in cars and likely to need tires.
So remember the old slogan – “think globally, act locally.”

Does Your Press Release Service Actually SERVE You?
Posted by seo_writer_chrs as Organic SEO Marketing
A classic story in any business goes something like this: the owner hires a consultant or a “service” business out of a need that the owner just doesn’t know how to fill. Then the consultant gives a fancy speech, comes up with a fancy book full of “shoulds” (which they’ve generally never tested), charges a small fortune, and then disappears. And in the case of writing, a press release service may be no different than those classic hustlers. Of course, there are a LOT of press release service providers out there, and most are on the up and up. But how can you tell whether they’re actually serving YOUR interests, and not just giving you “something” and lining their pockets with your cash?
There are a few very important things you need to look for in your press release – and if it isn’t this way, your press release service provider should have a very good reason. Let’s look at the main points:
1. The headline is extremely important – it grabs the viewer’s eyes, and then draws them down into the first sentence. Nobody ever finished reading something they didn’t start. And like a news story, a press release needs to tell the gist of the event within the first paragraph… it gets elaborated on in the ensuing paragraphs, but people may be in too great a hurry to go that far with it.
2. Every sentence had better have a good reason to be in this press release. After every single sentence, ask yourself, “So what?” A good press release writer knows that every sentence needs to be of vital importance. If you can’t answer “So what?” with something good, it shouldn’t be in there in the first place.
3. Remember that quantity and quality are NOT the same thing. Having several pages of copy does not translate into a great press release. While it’s tempting to look at a long “sales letter” of a press release and think that it’s just bound to get people into the spirit of your new offering or milestone… remember that PEOPLE ARE BUSY! Would you rather sit down for awhile and read an article, or plop down long enough to read War and Peace? Tastes vary, but a longer press release will not be read as often as a shorter one.
4. Keep in mind that a press release is a piece of NEWS. It really isn’t news that you have a new web site or product offering – and a good writer will know to tie it in to something that is genuinely newsworthy.

Small Business SEO — You’ll Get Bigger

Small Business SEO — You’ll Get Bigger
When you’re starting out in business, it’s very easy to stop seeing the forest for all the trees. A lot of people never even try, because the “big picture” is quickly swamped with an anthill full of crawly minutiae – business cards, a “corporate” address, “What kind of entity is this?” etc. While many things are important to your business and its steep, continuous climb to the uppermost reaches of the stratosphere, there is one thing you must have above all else – CUSTOMERS!!! Small business SEO, just like any SEO really, is all about driving customers to your site by positioning it in a preferential spot with the search engines.
When you’re starting out with small business SEO, your objective is first and foremost, who are your customers? What is their age, where do they live, what is their gender, what is their lifestyle? Do they have children, or have they sworn to never breed? Are they mired in credit card debt, or can they coupon their way to free groceries? Are they renters, homeowners, do they own rental properties? Do they work in the executive suites of Fortune 500 companies, or do they push brooms through those executive suites? These are just a few things you’ll need to know about your customers, in order to properly reckon up an answer to the next question.
What does your customer want? Do they want facts and figures, or flight and fancy? Are they into advanced astronomy, or audacious autobiographies? Do they want to be informed, entertained, or perhaps amazed? Your writing will need to fill some void in their lives – and in order to fill that void, you’re going to need to find out just exactly what that void may be. As a small business owner, you’re going to need to make some assumptions, introduce some content, and then refine it as necessary (or just scrap half the site and rebuild). Small business SEO is basically the wild west, and you really have no choice but to be the fastest gun in town. If you’re not the biggest fish in your pond, you’re going to get eaten – so you’d better get bigger.

Don’t Wrestle with Directory Submission
Posted by seo_writer_chrs as Organic SEO Marketing
Directories know you want to be in them – they’re the most effective ways to get your links clicked by actual people who may actually want access to your content. Needless to say, however, directory submission is not just a walk in the park. You have a lot to sort through, if your directory submission activities are going to be anything but a wrestling match that might end up with you pinned to the ground. Here are a couple of things you had better know before you waste the directory admin’s time:
1. Who is your target audience, anyway?
There is some person out there that you are writing to, whether you realize it or not. Actually, there are at least two people:
a. There’s the person in your own mind.
b. There’s also the person who will actually read what you’re writing.
This person will respond in a certain way to what you write – maybe they’ll laugh at you and click away from your site (and never come back), maybe they’ll bookmark your site (and tell some friends about it), and maybe they’ll sign up for your newsletter (you do have one, right?). Maybe they’ll do something completely different. And almost no matter what you say, SOME person will perform any given one of those possible activities.
Who are you TRYING to get to do the positive actions, such as signing up for your newsletter, bookmarking your site, etc.?
2. What does this person want?
Everybody wants something in life – and your target audience is exactly the same way. Maybe you’re writing for retirees who enjoy building scale models of old ships in bottles – so a random article about your gnarly skateboarding weekend would seem just a little out of place, maybe? Be sure all of your content is germane to the subject matter at hand, and eliminate wasteful or irrelevant content from your site.
In order to make your directory mission a success, you need to know who you’re writing to, in order to sculpt content that they will enjoy. And if that content is congruent and of high quality, you have a good chance to get those people to visit your site from those directories.

Be the Master of Directory Submission
Posted by seo_writer_chrs as Organic SEO Marketing
Everybody knows that SEO is a hugely technical, very sophisticated business that only elite “Internet types” are any good at. Well, it might not be quite that deep… but if you’re the type of person who’s better with words than with widgets, you might want to pick your battles, and give the SEO “Waterloo” a wide berth. But don’t think your web site is just going to gather dust in some lonely server somewhere – for there is hope, my Net-challenged friend: Directory submission. And no, that isn’t some new, electronic form of wrestling. Directory submission involves sending your site to various human edited directories, where it can be catalogued by an actual person who is more concerned about genuine, good content than which meta tags you have in your first paragraph.
Of course, you probably don’t want to try to get into general things – that area has been hotly contested and subsequently dominated by contenders who have deep pockets and dedicated professionals on their payrolls. Trying to get your site anywhere useful with something like “Plumbing” is about as useful as trying to go to England and declare yourself king. But perhaps you’re not into all plumbing – perhaps you have a site that is dedicated to super high end platinum faucets. “Platinum plumbing fixtures” might be the niche area that can get you noticed by actual eyes – keep in mind that directories often aren’t indexed by search engines, and thus require actual words that human beings are drawn to – just don’t start WRITING IN ALL CAP LOCKS AND DOING A BILLY MAYES IMPRESSION!!! That tends to turn people off, too.
The most important thing you need to determine, before you do anything else related to getting your site noticed, is decide who you intend to reach. You need to form the clearest possible picture of who your target demographic is – and then write to those people, and ONLY to those people. You are not a multi billion dollar, multinational corporate conglomerate whale that can try to be about EVERYBODY – if you actually look, even those guys typically fail when they try that.
And only when you know who your target market is, will your directory submission endeavors actually work.
