Ever find yourself legitimately listening to a web presenter?
Posted by seo_writer_kvn as Website Design
Where’s the mute button? You know that’s your first thought when you see a web presenter walk across the screen. No one really wants to listen to those animated sales presentations, right? Have you ever found yourself legitimately paying attention to one of them? Here at Webwise Media, we’ve done studies and found that most folks tune out after a few sentences, unless those sentences catch their attention and the web presenter is in the form of an attractive woman or man. Both work far better than the cartoon characters a number of companies have tried and failed with.
There’s a lot that goes into the creation of new elements for a client’s website. We don’t just pick a web presenter out of the box and program it with a canned script. The first few words, the tone of those words, the posture and facial expressions, all are critical to capturing a visitor’s attention. Those times when you have found yourself actually listening to the web presenter? Those are the times when the marketing company has put their time and energy into doing it right. Chances are you were looking at one of our client’s websites that day.
The web presenter service is one of many that we offer as part of website SEO and design packages for small businesses. It may be the right choice for you and it may not. When it comes to presenting a welcoming and informative message, there are few better ways to do it, but if your approach is more technical you might want to go with a content driven method. You could also try video if your product or service lends itself to that medium of communication. We offer all three methods.
A specialist from Webwise Media will walk you through each of these mediums, web presenter, content, and video, and answer any questions you might have. We offer each as a stand alone service or you can bundle them together and take advantage of one of our small business SEO packages. We’ll customize one specifically for your needs and make it affordable no matter what your budget is. Call today to learn more.

Improve Your Mobile Website Design to Take Advantage Of A Trillion Dollar Market
Posted by seo_writer_joe as Website Design
Having a quality mobile website design has become an important cornerstone of every business. In the 4th quarter of 2010, 100.9 million smartphones flooded the marketplace. That was up 87% from the same time in 2009.
Tablet computers continue to increase in popularity. In June of 2011, Tim Cook from Apple said he “sees no reason why the table market shouldn’t eclipse the PC market over the next several years.” (CNET.com)
On the other hand, the popularity of PC’s continued to wane. The number of PC’s shipped was only up 3% year to year for the same three-month period.
The problem with most company websites is that they are very difficult to read on mobile devices. Users have to scroll around clumsily just to find basic information. And that is exactly what most users want: basic information. Mobile users log on quickly to get your phone number, address, directions, and store hours.
The good news is that there is an easy solution. You can create a simplified mobile version of your regular website. There are some basic keys to successful mobile website design:
- Simplified Graphics and Menu Selections- you should only include the most important links. It makes the site load quickly to give your customers and prospects the information they need without waiting.
- Plenty of White Space- smartphone screens are so small they do not have room for lots of data. Use simple text and lots of white space to make it easy for people to read.
- Consistent Look and Feel- even though you are working with much smaller space, your mobile website design should follow the colors and theme of your main site.
Whether you do it yourself or use a company skilled in mobile website design, a good mobile site will make it simpler to find your company on smartphones and tablet computers. Making it easy for customers to spend more money is always good policy.

Mobile Compatibility And It’s Effect On Local Business
Posted by seo_writer_kvn as Website Design
What is mobile compatibility and how does it effect local businesses? The wide range of mobile operating systems, mobile browsers and smartphone manufacturers has created a compatibility nightmare for web designers. Many smartphones don’t support Flash! and as a result visitors to your sight see nothing when they’re on their smartphones. Some sights are mobile compatible but not mobile friendly, there’s a lot of zooming in and out for smartphone users and as a result a lot of your sites content doesn’t reach them because they move on to easier to view sites. In short, even if your local small business has great visibility through first page placement, your message may not be effectively conveyed to smartphone users. Should you be concerned?
Yes. Information Week reported there were roughly 1.5 billion local searches made from the 61.5 million smartphones currently in use. Few small businesses are truly taking advantage of this huge opportunity for exposure to consumers in their geographic areas. With that kind of untapped resource out there you need an expert in your corner that has experience in every facet of mobile compatibility and web presence. You’ll need someone to help you bring those smartphone users to your site and a site design that allows smartphone users to navigate easily, and find what they need and contact your business.
Truly mobile friendly sites use a tool that identifies when a smartphone or mobile user agent is accessing your site and shows that user a mobile website design different from the one those on a computer would view. Mobile browser, device, and operating system combinations are virtually endless so you can’t worry about your site looking identical on every one. You’ll just need to make sure that once organic SEO has done it’s work and the consumer is on your site; the content about your company, it’s products, and services is displayed in an easy to navigate and effective manner.
With 1.5 billion local searches via smartphone in 2010 and every evidence of increased smartphone usage in the years to come this segment of consumers isn’t one that can be ignored by businesses if they hope to remain viable. Locally owned small businesses tend to flourish when they focus on what they do best, whether that be a service or goods. They have experience and ability within those parameters. When it comes to web presence; making sites mobile friendly by reducing the amount of images or reducing load times by compressing images, SEO, driving traffic, and PPC advertising there are experts out there that can address these important issues more effectively than the average small business and in doing so allow the local businessman to do what he does best. Run his business.

Using Your Web Presenter to Announce Sales and Changes
Posted by seo_writer_kvn as Web Content, Website Design
You can change the message your web presenter puts out, you know. A lot of companies install that virtual spokesperson, program it to say something nice about their company, and then forget that they can change that message any time they want. You can use them for something other than just a stock sales pitch. In fact, many companies change the message of their web presenters each time they run a sale or make changes with their company. It’s fairly easy to do, especially if you employ the services of Webwise Media. We’re one of the leading innovators in web presenter technology, as we should be after over a decade in Los Angeles SEO.
The web presenter is a tool, not a permanent fixture. A tool is at its best when its many uses are taken advantage of. Your web presenter can be a welcoming presence to new visitors with a stock message they hear all the time or it can be a personality that your customers start to view as a helpful sales associate. Do you want to hear the same thing every time you log onto a certain website? Neither do your customers. Change it up from time to time so they don’t stop coming around.
Of course, to get the traffic to come to your website in the first place you’ll need to utilize some marketing and promotional tactics. As a full service organic SEO firm, our job is to get you traffic. We accomplish that immediately by running press releases and employing our PPC management team. After you change your web presenter’s speech to something new and fresh we’ll run a press release to tell potential customers something new and different is going on at your place. That should bring them through the door or in this case to your landing page.
To make sure the process works the way it should, our website SEO team can redesign your site and make sure that those visitors are captured and that you have the best chance of converting them into sales and sign-ups. We typically do this before we send out any press releases or run any ads, so make sure you ask us about it when you contact us about your web presenter. The elements listed here – your web presenter, press releases, PPC management, and website SEO – are each different services, but they’re all part of the same overall strategy to making your internet based business more successful. Your Mobile Website Design Might not Be Compatible
Posted by seo_writer_kvn as Website Design
It is a known fact that the Internet is no longer shackled to computers. With the advent of mobile browsing comes a new challenge for online businesses: having a mobile website design that is compatible with mobile technology. If your site isn’t optimized to display mobile content, your brand and message can be lost in translation. With potential customers literally being found everywhere on earth, from bus stops to train stations and everywhere in between, can you really afford to have a mobile website that simply isn’t compatible with the technology that’s out there? Frankly you’d be doing yourself and your business a disservice by not having your site optimized for mobile compatibility.
One of the key considerations with website design is knowing the overall goal of the site. In other words, what do you want your customers to see? More importantly, what do you want them to feel when they see your product or service? While a fancy website might display just fine on a computer, a mobile version cannot always evoke the customer feelings that you want. When it comes to mobile browsing, things such as screen real estate and data speeds can hamper your intended message. Having a site that is flexible enough to be viewed from an array of devices, while truly delivering your message, will certainly extend the reach of your marketing efforts.
Another key issue is the responsiveness of your site. While your site may be rendered quickly over high speed Internet, that might simply not be the case with your cell phone connections. Although mobile networks have been improving in recent years, there is still a discrepancy between cellular data transmission and a dedicated Internet connection. A website with a mobile component that is slow and clunky will do little to wow potential customers. Worse yet, they may be frustrated with your site and discount you from potential service providers altogether. In a world where immediate communication and instant information is the standard, poor mobile website design can be costing you precious business.
Remember that you could have the best content out there on the Internet. A poor browsing experience however could completely turn off potential clients. A site’s ease of use is essentially your digital first impression. If it is fluid, smooth and easy to use, clients will perceive you as competent and informative. These two qualities will help you gain a client’s trust and their subsequent business.

Using Schema.org as Part of Your Website SEO
Posted by seo_writer_kvn as Search Engine Optimization, Website Design
Most of the individual business owners and professionals we do organic SEO for really don’t have any idea exactly what we do. That’s why we publish regular posts on this blog. We’re not one of those companies that shroud our services in mystery to give us a plausible reason to charge more. We offer affordable SEO to our clients, internet marketing that even the smallest businesses can budget for. We also explain what we do in terms that everyone can understand – not just your programmers and IT people. We do this because we want you to feel comfortable doing business with us.
Take the new Schema coding system, for instance. Most folks know by now that there is HTML coding behind every web page that tells the search engines what is contained in the site and what the title of each individual page and post is. This coding is known as Meta tags and Meta descriptions. Some say it’s not as important today as it used to be – we know better. A properly coded website will move up the search engine rankings much faster than an un-coded site. Schema may make it move even faster.
Schema is a coding system devised in a collaborative effort between Google, Bing and Yahoo. It is a universal coding system recognizable by all three search giants that is now part of all our website SEO efforts. How much will it affect search engine rankings? It’s too early to tell, but there’s no question it will change the search marketing industry for the better. We’re already starting to see less disparity between search rankings. What works for Google now works for Bing and Yahoo also. There’s no longer a need for duplicate efforts and multiple search engine submissions.
Webwise Media has stayed on top of the Los Angeles SEO industry for over a decade by making sure we’re always on top of changes and new technology in search marketing. The changes made by Google over the years have never come as a surprise to us, and this is no exception. Universal coding is important, as is increasing the quality of content on the web, something they addressed earlier this year with Google Panda. We’ll keep you informed when they make any other changes.

The Simple but Powerful Benefits of Custom Blog Creation
Posted by seo_writer_kvn as Blogs, Web Content, Website Design
We’ve said it before and it continues to hold true. Your blog is the most powerful internet marketing tool you have at your disposal. If you don’t have one yet, let us create one. Our custom blog creation team here at Webwise Media is one of the very best in the industry. From designers to organic SEO specialists to our award winning writers, we have the knowledge and experience to help you take advantage of the simple but powerful benefits of regular blog posting.
Build a website, use relevant keywords, and make sure your URLs match the product or service you’re offering. Do all of that and you’ll attain a fairly decent page rank, maybe high enough to get half a dozen organic hits, but you won’t be able to maintain that rank. Your site will eventually drop if you don’t add more content. There are only so many pages you can add, so what alternative do you have? Your blog is the answer. Use it to add regular content and the search engine spiders will keep coming back, increasing your page rank every time they index your site.
Can website SEO really be that simple? Of course not, there’s still a whole of other work to do, but that’s what we’re here for. After we create your custom blog, we’ll enhance it with internal links, Meta tags, and connect it to directories via RSS. By the time we’ve added all the extras we have in our tool box you’ll have an entirely new audience looking for regular posts from you. We’ll make sure our writers take care of those, too. Even if you are a writer, chances are you don’t have time to maintain the blog yourself.
The addition of quality, fresh content on a regular basis has always been one of the best ways to improve your page rank. With the new changes just instituted by Google, it’s now an essential element of any organic SEO campaign that cannot be overlooked. We’ve known that change was coming for quite some time, so we have always included custom blog creation as one of our regular services. Take advantage of it. Our clients who do are enjoying lucrative spots on the top of Page One. You can too.

Reach A Whole New Crowd With Mobile Website Design
Posted by seo_writer_mkl as Internet Marketing, Small Business Web Advertising, Website Design
Mobile website design is the most cutting-edge tool that many businesses have for reaching a broader audience than even traditional Internet marketing will allow. One of the most often-stated benefits of marketing online is that the Internet is open 24/7/365, worldwide — but associated with that is the idea that the Internet is still locational insofar as you have to be at a computer in order to access it. Of course, anyone with a smartphone knows that that isn’t true anymore, but a lot of web based businesses just haven’t kept up with the times.
Mobile website design is your opportunity to make sure that you don’t fall behind. Back in 2002, Americans voted on the most important technology they used in their everyday lives, and cellphones came in at #4, behind television, landline phones, and Internet. Five short years later, the same pool in 2007 revealed that suddenly smartphones had become the number one technology Americans loves — and that 3 in 5 cellphone users take the phones to bed with them.
In terms of getting real business from your mobile-friendly website, think about this: in 2009, Google got 113 billion total searches — 1 billion from smartphones. In 2010, there were 127 billion total searches on Google, an increase of 13% — but there were 1.5 billion searches from smartphones, an increase of 50%. That growth rate is predicted to continue for at least the next couple of years, to a whopping 3.5 billion total searches in 2012. This is a quickly-expanding demographic that businesses can’t afford to ignore.
Furthermore, the searches that people make from their smartphones are increasingly local searches, making mobile website design even more critical for offline businesses. Mike Steib, Google’s Director of Emerging Platforms, said “Google has seen a 500% growth in local mobile search from 2008 to 2010 and a 67% increase in mobile queries in the last quarter alone.”
If you have a small brick-and-mortar business and your website won’t show up on an iPhone, you’re already losing money. Get yourself a mobile-friendly website, to a little bit of local internet marketing, and get in the game!

Mobile Website Design isn’t Really Optional Anymore, It’s Essential
Posted by seo_writer_kvn as Internet Marketing, Website Design
How do you check your email? How do you browse when you want to find something on the web? Do you wait until you go home and fire up the desktop or do you maybe go to the nearest WiFi hotspot and log on with your laptop? Chances are you do none of the above. If you’re like most people on the go today, you do your browsing and emailing from your mobile device. That’s why mobile website design has become a necessity for businesses that rely on internet traffic. It’s no longer optional.
If you’re new to this type of thing and don’t know what mobile website design is, browse your favorite site on your regular computer and then try it again on your mobile device. You will either not be able to see it or you’ll see an entirely different, trimmed down version of it designed specifically for mobile devices. This is a modification that is made by the company you’re browsing if they choose to do it. If they don’t, they will lose mobile traffic to one of their competitors. Get the picture?
Webwise Media, known primarily for our effective and affordable SEO, recommends that you take advantage of our mobile web design service to make sure that you capture all of the traffic you possibly can. This is particularly important if you have a product or service you’re trying to market to younger people or busy professionals. You cannot afford to not be visible on a mobile device. The technology is improving and it’s now possible to view most graphics on newer devices, but what about all those folks out there who still have phones and PDA’s which can’t display complex graphics? They will never even see what you have to offer, never mind have the option of buying it.
The world of the internet and internet marketing changes rapidly. In the past ten years we’ve already seen developments that were regarded as science fiction or fantasy a few decades back. Remember the hand held devices on the old Star Trek TV series? You’re holding one in your hand right now. Can you view your own website with it? Give us a few hours to design you a mobile site and you’ll be able to.

What are Web Wise Media Web Presenters?
Posted by seo_guru as Website Design
Are you looking for a new and innovative way to present content on your website? Websites today are starting to use Web Presenter technology more and more especially to give your website a more personal introduction that can explain site and you company. The important thing is you want any of these presenters to look professional and have their content be as logical as possible.
You want a company that creates their videos in house so that they are experts in the field and can make any adjustments that you might need to your presenter. Another reason this is important is because the most common problem with web presenters is unreliable content and poor video quality. This distracts people’s attention and does not give visitors a positive experience with your site. The length of these segments and then content presented go hand in hand and you want to keep the visitor interested in your presenter and not bore them. That is why the typical message is less than 60 seconds. The reason for this is that you don’t want the presenter to be going on and on about all the services, history, … of your company, you want them to provide some information to spark peoples interest that’s leads to potential sales or at least conversations.
Video spokespeople are very versatile as well and you can use them in many different applications on the web. We have already talked about using one on your own site to try and guide people through your site or simply provide a personalized intro. Another use for this technology is in pay per click campaigns these can be used on other sites to grab a users attention while they are browsing other sites and draw them towards your site. The quality of the video and the professional look can draw users to click on it for more information because of its professional design makes it seem more reliable than an add that is simply flashing at you. They can also be used in Top Page Placement Services too.
These web presenters or video spokesman are gaining an increase presence on the web. Many marketers are now being tasked with incorporating video and other multimedia services into their corporate web sites to take advantage of sight and sound that will engage visitors at a whole new level. If you think this is something that your company would like to take advantage contact a reliable company like Web Wise Media today. You can couple this with other services to gain a whole new look and maybe even traffic to your website.
